As an Merchandise Intern for FanGate Solutions at the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympic Championships, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in merchandise sales, inventory management, display set up, and guest services. Event interns will receive training on: giving top notch customer service to exceed our client’s expectations and increase fans overall experience, as well as venue information.

This position is for a 2 week event in Norwalk, CA outside of Los Angeles. Would you like to experience working at premier track and field event helping thousands of fans? We provide merchandise staff for the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympic World Championship taking place July 24th through August 2nd. Team members will assist with merchandise store set up, inventory management, and merchandise sales during the event.

Responsibilities:

Aid guests with accurate event merchandise and promotional information
Assist with store display set up
Restock merchandise inventory
Operate point of sale machines for customer check-out
Help maintain inventory counts of all merchandise
Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers

Qualifications and Requirements:

Willing to commute to Norwalk, CA on the week of July 24th - August 2nd
Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends and evenings
College student majoring in sport management, hospitality tourism management, communications, marketing, or related fields is a plus
Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
Must be neat and presentable at all times
Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED

Duration and Pay:

Work event on July 24th - August 2nd at Falcon Stadium in Norwalk, CA. This is a paid intern position for work during actual events at $16.90/hour.

Friday 7/24: 12:00pm - 5:00pm (Store Set-Up)
Saturday 7/25: 8:00am - 1:00pm (Store Set-Up)
Sunday 7/26: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Monday 7/27: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday 7/28: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday 7/29: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Thursday 7/30: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Friday 7/31: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday 8/1: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday 8/2: 8:00am - 5:00pm
