Kentucky Derby Weekend Event Staff Internship

As an event staff team member for FanGate Solutions, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, marketing and special events. Event staff will receive training on: giving top notch customer service to exceed our client’s expectations and increase fans overall experience, as well as venue information.
This position is for one event based in Louisville, KY. Would you like to experience working at the "Greatest 2 Minutes in Sports", helping thousands of race fans? We provide staffing for Churchill Downs, Kentucky Derby race weekend. Team members will be performing the following positions: Ticket Sellers, Mobile Ticket Assistance, Customer Service Representative and Box Office Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Aid guests with accurate event and promotional information
- Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
- Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
- Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
- Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
- Closely adhere to the health and sanitation guidelines set by FanGate Solutions and its clients
- Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Willing to commute to Louisville, KY on the weekend of April 27th to May 4th
- Part-time internship is May 3rd & 4th
- Full-time internship is April 27th to May 4th
- Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends and evenings
- College student majoring in advertising, marketing, sport management, or related fields is a plus
- Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
- Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
- Must be neat and presentable at all times
- Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
- Must pass Churchill Downs background check as well as provide a passport style photo for credentials
Duration and Pay:
Work Kentucky Derby Week in Louisville, KY at Churchill Downs. This is a paid events position for work during actual events at $12/hour.

Saturday April 27th (Opening Day)
Arrive at 2:30pm - Closing time @ 10:45pm
Tuesday April 30th (502’sday)
Arrive at 9:00am - Closing time @ 4:22pm
Wednesday May 1st (Champions Day)
Arrive at 9:00am - Closing time @ 4:54pm
Thursday May 2nd (Thurby)
Arrive at 8:00am - Closing time @ 6:18pm
Friday May 3rd (Oaks)
Arrive at 6:30am - Closing time 6:27pm
Saturday May 4th (Derby)
Arrive at 6:30am - Closing time @ 8:00pm
