Position Summary:
Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs. 
Our Marketing & Events Division is looking for a motivated Account Executive to assist the Tournament and event staff with day-to-day operations of preparing for the Meijer LPGA Classic to be held June 14 – 20, 2021! The Event Coordinator will be working full time assisting in miscellaneous projects for the Meijer LPGA Classic. 
This position offers an outstanding opportunity to learn event management, onsite logistics and event activation/operation skills to be able to optimally engage with consumers and fans. The right candidate will be able to work as part of a team and will collaborate with internal divisions, client partners and vendors. Strong team dynamics skills and excellent social skills are required for this position. Travel on weekends, evenings and some holiday work may also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales support inclusive of proposal development, sponsorship fulfillment, contract creation & execution
  • Manage and track all documents related to the Pro-am 
  • Manage events held in conjunction with the Pro-am including Pairings Party, pro-am gifting etc. . 
  • Assist with all tournament merchandising, pro-am gifts, pro-am products etc.
  • Ticketing and fulfillment for sponsors and general public 
  • Updating the ticketing database and sending out weekly status reports
  • Respond to general event inquiries (dates, event schedule, ticket prices etc.)
  • Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects
  • Compile necessary documents to include in tournament recap decks
  • Track hotel requests and report budget numbers to tournament director 
  • Other related duties/projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • 2-6+ years of work experience 
  • Extensive study in a related field (senior level internship or recent college graduate) 
  • Polished communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently 
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint 
  • Extremely organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Interest in sports and event marketing as a career 
  • Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours particularly during tournament week 
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
