We are seeking an enthusiastic, solution-oriented individual to join our team and help us advance our Party Department. This is a part time, hourly role, with hours occurring year-round. Weekend hours are required for this role. Some weekends may require more or less hours, depending on the schedule of events. Schedule’s will be communicated as far in advance as possible.

The position of a Weekend Party Leader at COPA STC entails complete oversight and management of scheduled daily Party Events, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and providing an exceptional start to finish Party Experience for all our Party Families and their guests. Party Leaders greet the party host and their guests, confirm party details, and address any last-minute questions or concerns. They troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event, enforce facility rules and safety guidelines, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all guests. They will also ensure all Parties run on schedule and in an organized manner. After each event, Party Leaders ensure that each space is cleaned and reset for the next event, as well as gather important feedback from coaches and Party Host Families to continually improve our services.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully oversee and manage all Parties scheduled during your shift.
- Oversee and assist with the scheduled turnover & cleaning of Party Rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all Party Rooms and Party Spaces are properly set up and in good working condition before the start of each event. Example: Ensuring that all rooms and spaces are set up in accordance with the pre-determined event plan and customer preferences.
- Greet the Party Family and their guests upon their arrival to the facility. Ensure all guests are properly checked in, are given name tags, and have waivers signed.
- Promptly address any last-minute questions or concerns from the Party Family.
- Ensure all Parties are started on time and perform consistent check ins on each Party to ensure all events and activities are going according to plan.
- Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines to prevent accidents, or damage to equipment or spaces.
- Gather feedback or concerns from Party Families, as well as report any issues and report to Party Manager at the end of each scheduled shift.
- Collect final headcounts, and report any Party Contract violations (exiting Party Room more than 15 minutes late, leaving excess trash in Party Room, alcohol in Party Room) to Party Manager. Also report on any last minute Add On’s that require an Invoice adjustment.
- Able to step in and act as a Party Coach in the event there is a last-minute call out or no show for a shift.
- Represent COPA STC in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all Party Families and their guests.
By fulfilling all of these responsibilities, the Party Leader ensures that each event hosted at COPA STC is well organized, enjoyable, and safe for all participants.
Must Haves:
- Experience working in a fast paced, structured environment.
- Must be comfortable working with and overseeing a team of Party Coaches and Front Desk Staff and ensuring high standards of Party deliverables are met.
- Must be available to consistently work Saturday and Sunday shifts between the hours of 1 and 8 PM.
- Must have basic computer proficiency skills.
- Must be able to complete and pass a required background screening.
- Must be willing to hold themselves to the highest level of professionalism and customer service including but not limited to appearance, communication, and behavior.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to relate and communicate well with kids and adults.
- Excellent time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with all types of customers and their needs.
- A dependable team player who can collaborate with others. A positive disposition in dealing with customers and fellow employees.
- Ensures that each individual Party Experience at COPA STC is nothing short of excellent.
Desirable Qualities:
- Solution oriented in different situations – particularly related to customer experience issues. Able to accommodate last minute requests by Party Families and de-escalate any issues or concerns.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Soccer knowledge not required but preferably able to handle and entertain large groups of kids and lead them through fun sports games & activities.
- At least 6 months of Customer Service experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of Event/Party experience preferred.
Requirements:
- Weekend availability required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Dependable mode of transportation, and ability to dependably arrive on time for your shift.
- Physical effort and exertion required for this role. May include but not limited to exercise/sports related movements, lifting and moving tables and chairs, standing on ladders, general janitorial duties (sweeping, mopping, taking out garbage), etc.
