About COPA STC

COPA Soccer Training Center (COPA STC) is a world-class soccer training facility dedicated to athlete development and community growth. We are pioneers in using technology and data to advance soccer performance, helping players of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential. Beyond high-performance training, COPA STC is a hub for community engagement — offering a wide range of competitive programming, leagues, tournaments, and events for youth, adults, and families.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and driven Leagues and Competitions Manager to lead the growth and operation of our adult and youth leagues, tournaments, and competitive programming at one of the premier sports facilities in the region.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves the game, loves the grind, and wants to build something. You'll be the driving force behind expanding COPA's competitive community — growing participation, delivering exceptional experiences, and developing the staff and systems that make it all run. This position reports directly to the Director of COPA Leagues and is the operational heartbeat of everything that happens on our fields. Because our leagues and competitions run primarily on evenings and weekends, this role is scheduled accordingly — making it a great fit for someone who is energized by game-night atmospheres and thrives when the lights are on.

Core Responsibilities

Program Operations & Event Management
  • Oversee all Competitions Division programming, including Adult Leagues, Youth Leagues, Tournaments, Open Play, Special Events, and Technology-Based Competitions.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty during league nights, tournaments, and special events.
  • Develop seasonal schedules and operational plans that set staff and participants up for success.
  • Manage team communications, scheduling adjustments, disciplinary matters, and participant concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Ensure a consistently high-quality experience for every participant, every night.

Growth & Community Development
  • Drive measurable growth in adult and youth league registration, tournament participation, and open play utilization.
  • Build and execute strategies to improve participant retention, referrals, and long-term engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with local clubs, schools, and community organizations to expand COPA's competitive reach.
  • Lead grassroots outreach efforts and identify new programming opportunities that serve our community.

Staff Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise Competitions Division staff, Field Supervisors, and event personnel.
  • Build a motivated, high-performing team with clear expectations, coaching, and development pathways.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing coverage across all programming.

Event & Competition Oversight
  • Own all aspects of league and tournament operations from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate game-day logistics, staffing, and on-field management.
  • Support referee operations and maintain communication with Referee Assignors.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and competition rules consistently and fairly.
  • Document and report incidents, injuries, and disciplinary matters appropriately.

Marketing & Promotions
  • Partner with the Marketing and Sales teams to promote leagues, tournaments, and events.
  • Capture content — photos, videos, testimonials, participant stories — that brings COPA's competitive culture to life.
  • Support email campaigns, social media efforts, and community outreach tied to seasonal programming launches.

Innovation & Program Development
  • Collaborate with the Director of COPA Leagues to launch new offerings and evolve existing ones.
  • Leverage COPA's technology platforms to create unique and differentiated competitive experiences.
  • Evaluate program performance regularly and bring forward data-driven recommendations for improvement.

What Success Looks Like
  • Year-over-year growth in adult and youth league registration
  • Increased tournament participation and open play utilization
  • Strong program retention rates and community engagement
  • High participant satisfaction and event execution quality
  • A stable, well-developed staff team
  • Successful launch of new programs and initiatives

Why Join COPA STC?
