About The Position
The Assessment & Engagement Coordinator delivers the day-to-day assessment experience for youth athletes. You will run objective tests to protocol, capture accurate data, provide clear on-site feedback, and support timely follow-ups that connect results to each athlete’s goals. Your work keeps the assessment running smoothly and the athlete experience first-class. Your efforts directly support the development of all athletes!

Location: Walnut Creek, CA (on site)
What You’ll Do
- Execute assessments: setup, calibration, athlete flow, and breakdown to protocol.
- Capture and validate data accurately; flag anomalies; ensure timely upload and documentation.
- Provide on-site debriefs that highlight strengths and priorities in plain language for athletes and families.
- Deliver post-assessment follow-ups using provided templates/tools so results and next steps arrive on time.
- Achieve revenue targets: by supporting the development (retention) and engagement (conversion) of all COPA Score participants.
- Support Talent ID events & team assessments: prepare rosters, manage check-in, keep sessions on schedule.
- Care for the athlete experience: maintain a professional, welcoming, and safety-first environment.
- Contribute to process improvements: provide feedback on SOPs, checklists, and workflows.
Sample Schedule:
Tuesday – Friday: 11am-8pm / 10am – 7pm
Saturday: 10am-4pm
What You’ll Bring
- Genuine passion for youth athletes, objective data, and talent identification.
- Clear, friendly communication with athletes and families; confidence explaining results and executing follow up processes with knowledge and care.
- Strong attention to detail with equipment, timing, and documentation.
- Working weekday evenings and weekends
Nice to Have
- Coursework or certification in kinesiology, coaching, or sports science. Degree preferred.
- 3+ years experience in sport coaching, performance training, sport science, or athlete services. Soccer coaching preferred. Testing technology experience preferred.
- Familiarity with basic data tools and CRM’s. HubSpot experience preferred.
