JOB TITLE: Director of Partnership Sales & Fulfillment

Position Summary: Chicago House Athletic Club is a new professional soccer team representing Chicago and Illinois about to compete in the rapidly-expanding National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) league. The club has enjoyed a successful launch and is currently building for further success in the local, regional, and national market. 

Chicago House is seeking a smart, strategic, results-driven and collaborative individual for the position Director of Partnership Sales. This person will be responsible for securing new business and maintaining relationships at a local, regional and national level.

This person will have a passion for brand partnerships, and live sports while being an innovative and forward-thinking leader. 

Essential Functions:
  • Lead all facets of the partnership sales and activation cycle including prospecting, category assessment, analysis, strategies, best practices, ROI modeling, key industry research rollout, focus group information synthesis, competitive intelligence, marketing/sales proposals, and alignment to existing solutions
  • Oversee partnership sales and fulfillment department. Direct, lead and mentor partnership sales teams
  • Oversee the creation of sales plans which are scalable for local, regional and national programs. 
  • Lead strategic planning sessions with all sales to uncover new opportunities. Present business updates, new opportunities and industry-driven initiatives to the management team and sales leaders as required.
  • Execute effective sales calls and presentations promoting our unique offerings in order to meet established sales objectives.

  • Develop and execute strategy to reach Partnership revenue targets via new business, upselling and renewals
  • Oversee the development of client proposal, sales and contract negotiations through to the close of new or renewed business
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and procedures for sales team
  • Actively participate in the sales and renewal process with team, providing support and coaching when appropriate.
  • Pioneer the future of Corporate Partnerships by actively seeking innovative partnership opportunities and staying current on industry trends.
  • Prioritize partnership opportunities in Chicagoland
  • Responsible for managerial duties like revenue forecasting, expense budget adherence, pipeline management, compensation plan creation, periodic sales incentives, and staff training.
  • Leverage technology to drive data-driven insights to prospective and existing partners
  • Work closely with partnership team to manage logistics and fulfillment for all elements of Partnership packages.
  • Develop close working relationships with key internal stakeholders like Marketing, Ticket Sales, Finance, Operations, Team and others to ensure collaboration and fulfillment.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of successful partnership sales and service experience required with a preference for experience at a sports and entertainment property, marketing agency or brand.
  • Experience developing, implementing and/or selling sponsorship packages is preferred with comfort pitching digital media, social media, entitlements, naming rights, tickets and hospitality assets.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred; including proven hiring, training, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator that is comfortable sharing ideas across functions, to different levels of the organization, and with partners.
  • Knowledgeable of emerging industry trends with long-term vision for the department

  • The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology and is digitally savvy. Experience with Microsoft Suite, a CRM system, YouGov, SponsorUnited, DigiDeck, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other sales technology a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high-level executive positions.
  • It is imperative that you have the ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills, as well as ability to manage your own time and implement your own schedule.
  • Demonstrated sales/closing and fulfillment experience
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.
  • Exemplary problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to synergize the efforts of individuals and teams to accomplish the goals of the company.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Knowledge of target demographics and brands
