Game Day USA, a division of Athletx Sports Group, is located in Naperville, IL and is a national leader in producing baseball and softball events for all ages and levels of competition. Game Day USA recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary, and is seeking to expand its softball presence both nationally and in the Midwest. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Game Day USA has an immediate opening for a Director - Softball Events.. We are looking for a sales-minded recruiter to lead the charge of actively seeking out and engaging customer prospects within the amateur softball marketplace. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal person will be able to hit the ground running. Applicants must have softball related experience. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Meet established sales objectives for all Softball events
  • Manage the internal sales process for Team and Individual Softball events through daily management of our internal CRM system, Hubspot
  • Create, maintain, and utilize professional social media accounts to engage directly with customers on a regular basis
  • Assist in the development of new processes of growing leads, opportunities, and customers
  • Work with the Marketing/Media team to produce event marketing material necessary to meet and exceed sales objectives
  • Attend and assist with the execution of Game Day USA events and League Meetings throughout the year, some travel required
  • Coordinate with team members to achieve company goals
  • Maintain professional knowledge of amateur sports by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and attending trade shows
  • Perform various duties as assigned to meet overall business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports Management or Marketing preferred; 2 - 3 years of related work experience or training preferred but not mandatory.
Collegiate and/or travel softball experience as a player, coach, or administrator
