In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.
Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is looking for a Seasonal Equipment Manager to manage and track equipment and inventory, assist in other inventory related duties, and act as a communications liaison for equipment logistics. This position is a seasonal on-site role, and reports to the Director, Sports Equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the packing, loading, transportation coordination, and unloading of equipment/assets at home and away venues to support practice and game preparation
- Improve, maintain, and organize assets at the venue in a manner that is accessible, efficient, and maximizes space usage
- Maintain accurate record of all incoming and outgoing inventory in TeamWorks and Google Sheets
- Assist in the general upkeep of equipment which may include: refurbishment, maintenance, mending, sewing, etc.
- Manage team laundry in home and away cities
- Assist in the production and completion of additional apparel items
- Work closely with the Athletic Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coach and the Team Manager of Operations to manage all day-to-day operations assigned by the Director of Equipment, Manager of Softball Operations, General Manager, and/or Head Coach
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in team equipment management, inventory management and logistics, or a similar field. Collegiate or professional team experience is applicable
- Ability to be on-call for late night and/or early morning equipment drop off/pick up
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50-75 lbs), stand or be on your feet for extending periods of time, and work in non-temperature controlled environments
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and TeamWorks Inventory Systems
- Must be local to one of AUSL Team Cities:
- Durham, NC
- Oklahoma City, OK
- Portland, OR
- Rosemont, IL
- Round Rock, TX
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Ability to travel with the team for all away games
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Benefits
Compensation: This role is compensated at $10,000 for the duration of the 2026 season. Part time remote work and onboarding beginning Mid-April to then transition to contracted full time in-person late May - July 31st reporting to Vero Beach, Florida. This will be a W-2 position and will not include benefits.
