Reports to: Director of Operations
Compensation: Hourly compensation plus overtime commensurate with experience
Hours: Each event requires a 2-week commitment and event days are approximately 7am-6pm
 
Description: Operations crew members are the lifeblood of every AVP Pro Tour event.  They facilitate the construction and execution of all event-related infrastructure and activations (ie stadium court, grandstands, tents, sponsor activations).  If something needs to be moved, they move it.  If something needs to be built, they build it.  And if there is an issue or challenge preventing something from being completed, they work as a team to find a solution. 

Responsibilities
:
  • Load and unload AVP equipment from trailers and flatbeds
  • Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, skid steers and reach lifts
  • Help build operations boneyard/production compound
  • Assist vendors with moving equipment and supplies to and from the event site
  • Install stadium courtside boxes, player boxes, and umbrellas
  • Build and dress VIP Cabanas
  • Set up AVP Welcome Center
  • Build athlete shower in locations where required
  • Set up event inflatables
  • Work as traffic control / flagger 
  • Help distribute water, ice and towels
  • Build TV camera towers
  • Set up bike rack and panel fencing
  • Make runs to hardware store to pick up event equipment
  • All general event operations
  • Assist with any other competition or event needs that arise

Qualifications
  • A desire to learn and grow within the live event and sports operations world
  • Willing to work long hours and do what is necessary to complete a task
  • Previous experience in event operations and/or construction preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
