The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring proper staffing alignment for various events and in supporting day-to-day operations. Their primary focus is staffing support, sending staffing updates, and assisting SR & Venue Admins with non-event-day activities.
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour only working at DSGP and Ball Arena!
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently utilize scheduling software (e.g. ABI) to schedule staff and keep staffing numbers up to date.
- Collaborate with SR Admin & Venue Admin to determine staffing requirements and ensure adequate coverage before each event.
- New-hire training specific to the venue for new team members.
- Prepare and distribute necessary paperwork for event check-ins.
- Schedule supervisors for their monthly shifts.
- Organize and scan monthly show files.
- Organize office supplies and maintain the inventory sheet.
- Help maintain spreadsheets and forms.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisors and team members within the venue.
- Report directly to the SR Admin for pre-event and event day preparations.
- Assist staff with check-in/out procedures and provide necessary materials for their shifts.
- Document staff attendance and report any HR-related issues
Requirements & Expectations
- Candidates must be invited and attend a panel interview for acceptance into the program (acceptance is not guaranteed).
- Candidates must have reliable transportation.
- Candidates must pass a background check through Argus and obtain a guard card within 90 days of signing this document.

- Duties of a Security Guard
- Verbal Judo & Verbal De-Escalation (NRCT-1)
- TEAM Training
- Flagger Training & Certification
- CPR & Incident Management
- FEMA ICS 100
- Administrative/ABI Training
- Company Policy and Procedures
- Billing Process, Contracts, Venue-Specific Expectations
- Venue-Specific Training (Ball Arena, Dicks Sporting Goods Park, etc.)
- Supervisor 1.1, 1.2, 1.3
- Confidentiality: All sensitive employee and client information must remain strictly confidential.
- Attendance Policy: Maximum of 2 call-offs (anything within a 2 week period) while enrolled; any no-call/no-show results in immediate dismissal from the program. If you need to be removed from any shifts, you are required to email [email protected] instead of using the Call Off Log.
- Dress Code: Candidates must adhere to the managerial dress code for their assigned venue while shadowing.
- Conduct: Candidates are expected to exhibit professionalism and lead by example at all times.
Additional Expectations
- Must work at any and all Argus contracts as assigned.
- If currently in another role at Argus, we ask the candidate to honor their prior commitments if it does not interfere with the program.
- 1-2 years of relevant management, staffing, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- No attendance issues within the preceding 6 months.
- No performance issues within the preceding 12 months.
- Must obtain a Merchant’s Guard License within 90 days of acceptance.
- Candidates must provide a resume.

- Must be able to operate office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.).

- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to motivate and direct staff in a leadership capacity.
Working Conditions
- Work will take place indoors and outdoors, depending on the venue.
- Noise levels may range from minimal to loud, depending on the event.
- Fast-paced environment, especially on event days.
