Join us in helping manage and coordinating our Jack O'lantern World and Christmas Light Festivals. If you eat, sleep and breathe logistics, problem-solving and coordination combined with the fast pace get stuff done nature of event day then this is the place for you.
*** This is a seasonal position beginning in early September and ending in January. Strong performers will potentially have the opportunity to be hired on fulltime.***
The All Community Events position is designed to introduce applicants to all aspects of managing events. Throughout their time here, coordinators will assist with:
- Logistical planning
- Operational execution (event setup, event operation, event teardown)
- Community outreach
- Client Charity Support
- Customer Service
- Contractor Booking
- And much more
You will also get to frequently travel to our events around the country and be a part of our event day operations. You will be given real responsibility as an integral part of our event day team.
You will be tasked with coordinating, setting up and managing one our of Festivals which bring in over 30,000+ attendees throughout the month. This includes onsite coordination, being tasked with managing up to 20 event day staff and much more. These festivals do take place at nights and on weekends.
Great things to know:
- This position is located at our office in Lake Zurich, IL. No remote option.
- There is a possibility for high-performing coordinators to get hired full-time.
- Start Early September - End Mid- January
Qualifications:
- This position requires the ability to stand on your feet for an extended period of time.
- This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly over an extended period of time.
- This position requires frequent weekend availability as our events do happen on the weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Positive and professional attitude in the workplace.
- Ability to direct and manage teams of people to complete tasks.
