What is 888 TTC?
It’s a Start Up! You knew this had to be in Northern California, Bay Area!

5 minutes away from the San Francisco International Airport, in a community of athletic facilities, lies a 30,000 square foot facility that hosts Table Tennis camps, lessons, training program and even private events. It’s called 888 Table Tennis Center (888 TTC). We are a brand new Olympic training facility for Table Tennis! We are a world-class facility with the highest level of coaching experience and training conditions. We are also developing our recreational program, 888 Pong. You’ve never had so much fun playing ping pong!

Our newly remodeled center features:
  • 30,000 square feet of flexible space to accommodate tournaments, training, physical training, meeting/classroom space, lounges, changing rooms, video analysis and more.
  • ITTF tournament standard playing conditions, including LED lighting, table tennis flooring with wooden sub-floors, and ITTF-approved equipment.
  • World-class staff of coaches, directors, and trainers.
  • Programs for all levels of play, from elite to recreational.
  • Additional amenities, including pro shop, on-site snack bar, relaxing spaces, VIP room.

Summary of role:
888 TTC seeks a versatile, friendly, responsible, organized, energetic, with a can-do attitude; the “face of the facility” executive who will be responsible for membership relations, front desk management, overseeing cleaning and maintenance contractors, inventory and bookkeeping – a “jack of all trades” to help manage and organize the facility membership and operations. The facility is open from 10am to 9:30pm daily.

We seek someone with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a lifestyle, country club,
recreational or youth sports program facility. This is a full-time position needing someone who can
commit to 40 hours a week with many of them on the weekend and evenings. Hours are M-F; 12pm –9:30pm and 10am – 7pm on weekends.

Specific Responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Front Desk Management
  • Greet guests upon their arrival, while possessing good verbal and written communication
skills.
  • Conduct payments via Square terminal and balance cash drawer during closing and opening.
  • Draft emails and newsletters using programs such as Mailchimp
  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of establishment offerings and services.
  • Respond and recognize customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Verify membership cards, and charge walk in customers the expected fees.
  • Use WooCommerce and Square to finalize payments.
  • Create and use spreadsheets, update session schedules and rosters.

Facility Management
  • Oversee all cleaning and maintenance contractors. Make sure that locker rooms are clean, floors are clean, all proper cleaning procedures are being followed by the cleaning staff.
  • Manage any maintenance needs, from light bulbs to wifi connectivity, IT issues, HVAC, and fix things that are broken or need to be adjusted,
  • Oversee the daily cleaning checklists created for the center.
  • Ensure that all staff are maintaining all covid-friendly cleaning procedures.

Membership Concierge
  • Explain all programs, services, and equipment to members and assists them with determining their individual needs.

Pro Shop Assistance
  • Present merchandise in a clean and engaging manner at all times.
  • Work with the team to manage inventory levels
  • Coordinate the checking in of products, merchandising product on floor, and warehousing back stock.
  • Manage scheduled monthly and quarterly inventories of the merchandise to reconcile with QB and Square reports.
