Golden Gate Fields a bay area landmark since 1941. Is now looking for a Stable Gate Attendant. Our Stable Gate Attendant should foster and support a safe environment. POSITION PURPOSE
 Stable Gate Attendants are responsible for checking identification of anyone and everyone who enters the Stable Area. They are required to ensure that everyone has a CHRB license. The are required to ensure that every visitor is logged. Monitor the Security camera ensuring the safety of the horses at all times.

Compensation: $18.07 per hour
Shift: Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Hours: 12:00pm-8PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  • Check identification of all entrants to stable area.
  • Make sure all personnel coming into stable area have a valid CHRB license.
  • Logs in all visitors.
  • Checks security monitor for the south parking lot.
  • Process deliveries at main stable gate by notifying proper departments.
  • Makes sure gate arm is closed at all times.
  • Process arrival and departure cards.
  • Maintain information board outside stable gate.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be over 18.
  • High School education required.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to listen to horsemen and solve stall location problems.
  • Basic knowledge about horseracing.

Compensation: 16.99 per hour

ENVIRONMENT: Standard Race Track
 
FINGER DEXTERITY: Requires typing.
 
TALKING: Ability to speak on phone and face to face.
 
HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
 
REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Frequent and regular movements using the wrists, hands, and fingers.
 
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to view computer screens and documents.
 
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Medium to heavy work; requiring stooping and exerting up to 25 lbs. 
 
 
COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
 
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to interpret instructions.
 
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills.
 
LANGUAGE ABILITY:  Fluency in English, bilingual welcome. Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
