Position Overview:
Candidate will play a role in supporting the Vegas Golden Knights’ community initiatives as well as the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation. Responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day operations, as well as the community programming and events for the Vegas Golden Knights and Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.

Duties and tasks:
  • Assist the foundation and community relations team on organizing and implementation of initiatives including but not limited to:
    • Event preparation, execution and follow-up, as requested
    • Tracking, organizing, and fulfilling charitable donation requests
    • Community outreach, charitable projects, and off-season initiatives
    • Collaborate with foundation team on any additional community programming and activations
  • Administrative needs pertaining to the Vegas Golden Knights and the foundation including but not limited to:
    • Work in conjunction with foundation team on posting engaging and ongoing content for foundation social media platforms
    • Assist in monitoring Foundation and Community Relations email address and requests
    • Aid in the collaboration and design of fundraising platforms
  • Support the continuing mission of the Vegas Golden Knights and its Foundation to serve our community

Learning Objectives:
Gain hands-on experience with foundation and community-based events in a professional sports environment.
Play a role in supporting the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation and its initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Up to 20 hours of intern hours available per week
  • Must be available to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as varies
  • Internship timeline – May - September
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt, learn and grow with team approach and philosophy.
  • Must be a detail-oriented and creative "out-of-the-box" thinker.
  • Knowledge of the sport and hockey background a plus
  • Must be self-confident, resilient and possess a high energy level and enthusiasm.
  • Must be a team-player and able to work well with others.
