Position Summary
The Director, Marketing and Fan Development serves as a key leader within Foley Entertainment Group's Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) and Vegas Knight Hawks (IFL) franchises, overseeing all strategic marketing and fan development initiatives. This position is both visionary and hands-on, responsible for shaping brand identity, growing the fan base, and creating experiences that reflect the spirit of the game and the passion of our fans. The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer, innovative thinker, and collaborative leader who thrives on creating meaningful fan experiences.
Position Highlights:
- Lead marketing strategy and brand positioning for HSK and VKH.
- Oversee annual marketing campaigns, fan development programs.
- Drive innovative marketing initiatives that grow and engage the fan base.
- Support HSK and VKH ticketing initiatives through digital marketing, promotion and event-based activations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop, execute, and continuously refine annual marketing plans for the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks to achieve brand awareness, growth objectives and business-wide revenue goals.
- Game Day Marketing: Conceptualize and manage in-game activations, fan development promotions and giveaways, and grassroots fan development programs throughout the season.
- Theme and Promotional Night: Develop Theme and Promotional Nights throughout the season designed to drive single game and group ticket sales, while managing the process of executing these elements across multiple departments and necessary vendors.
- Campaign Management: Plan and oversee traditional and digital advertising campaigns aimed at driving brand awareness and conversions, managing third-party media partnerships as needed. Track performance, analyze results, and optimize tactics for maximum impact.
- Database Growth and Management: Manage and cultivate the HSK database with a focus on both growth and retention. Grow the existing database through marketing promotions and data capture tactics and retain current fans through relevant, personalized marketing communications.
- Innovation & Brand Development: Identify new marketing opportunities and creative approaches to enhance fan development and elevate the HSK and VKH brands. Ensure the brand is properly and consistently represented in all internal and external uses, including e-mail, print, digital, retail and advertising. 
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the club marketing budget, monitor monthly expenses, and provide regular performance reporting to leadership.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate productive partnerships with internal departments and business partners to align goals and strengthen collaboration.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support the organization's strategic marketing objectives.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within a sports or entertainment environment.
- Knowledge & Skills:- Strong understanding of hockey, sports culture, and fan development.
- Proven experience developing community outreach and grassroots marketing programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills with the ability to position brands strategically.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during meetings, events, and venue tour
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation
- Standing, walking, and light lifting up to 25 lbs. (presentation materials, marketing collateral, etc.)
- Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and operating office equipment
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, and written materials
- Hearing ability to participate in meetings and telephone conversations
- Occasional travel required for community events, team appearances, or external meetings.

- This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Required attendance to all Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks home games.
