Position Overview

The United States Hockey League (USHL) is seeking multiple Media & Communications Interns to help produce content that enhances the League’s digital presence on game nights and supports internal projects aligned with long-term marketing initiatives for the duration of the 2026-27 season.

Duties
  • Clip, produce, and post live game highlights and graphics to social media platforms (i.e., Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Write accurate, timely short-form content, including game recaps, alumni reports, and player profiles for USHL.com.
  • Collaborate with the communications, hockey operations, and business departments to identify storylines that creatively showcase the League.
  • Identify and leverage social media trends using user-generated and/or team-submitted content.
  • Aid in the organization and maintenance of photo and video archives.

Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to write for multiple formats (i.e., social media, website).
  • Strong writing and editing skills; high attention to detail.
  • Graphic design experience preferred; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and InDesign is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Hockey knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Must be available to work most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 5 PM CT – 10 PM CT during the 2026-27 season on game nights.
  • Must submit examples of social media account management.
  • Must submit samples of previous writing experience (multiple formats preferred).

This opportunity is considered an independent contracted position. Hours may fluctuate week to week.
