Tri-City Storm Video & Graphics Intern 2026 - 2027 Season
The Tri-City Storm are seeking a creative, motivated, and passionate Video & Graphics Intern for the 2026 season. This hands-on opportunity provides valuable experience within a premier junior hockey organization and is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a portfolio in sports media, graphic design, video/photo production, and digital content creation. All applications will be kept on file until the start of the internship program for which candidates apply.
Position Overview
The Video/Photo & Graphics Intern will work closely with the Marketing, Communications, and Content teams to create engaging visual content that enhances the Tri-City Storm brand and fan experience. This role will assist in producing graphics, video content, social media assets, and promotional materials used throughout the season.
From game nights and community events to digital campaigns and special promotions, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports marketing and content creation.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in graphic design, photography, video production, or digital media
- A portfolio demonstrating creative work in graphics, video editing, photography, or related content
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and/or After Effects
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content trends
- Excellent attention to detail and creative storytelling abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a team
As a Video & Graphics Intern, Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Creating graphics for social media, website content, email marketing, and game-day promotions
- Producing and editing video content, including hype videos, player features, highlights, and promotional campaigns
- Capturing photo and video content during home games, practices, community events, and team functions
- Assisting with motion graphics and digital display content for game presentations
- Supporting content planning and execution across digital platforms
- Organizing and maintaining digital media assets
- Assisting with live event production and game-day entertainment elements
- Collaborating with staff to ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity
- Other duties as assigned
Internship Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Video Production, or a related field
- Housing and transportation in Kearney or surrounding area.
- Availability to work home games, select road games, and designated office hours
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent creative software
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality creative standards
- Personal camera equipment and/or laptop preferred but not required
Compensation:
This is a non-paid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
