Overview
The Muskegon Lumberjacks, a proud member of the United States Hockey League (USHL), are seeking motivated, outgoing, and driven Sales Interns for the upcoming 2025–2026 season. This internship provides hands-on experience in the business side of professional sports, with a focus on ticket sales, group sales, corporate partnerships, and customer relationship management. It's an excellent opportunity for students looking to build a career in sports sales and business development.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Sales and Business Development Executive with ticket sales initiatives, including season tickets, group outings, and premium seating.
- Generate new sales leads through research, outbound calls, emails, and community outreach.
- Help maintain and update customer information.
- Assist with prospecting and client follow-up before, during, and after the sales process.
- Support corporate partnership sales efforts, including proposal preparation and sponsorship fulfillment
- Represent the Lumberjacks at community events, networking opportunities, and promotional appearances.
- Assist with game day sales operations, fan engagement, and client hospitality.
- Provide exceptional customer service while helping create memorable fan experiences.
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable making phone calls and interacting with prospective clients
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work nights, weekends, and home games throughout the season
- Passion for sports and a willingness to learn the sales process
