Overview

The Muskegon Lumberjacks, a proud member of the United States Hockey League (USHL), are seeking motivated, outgoing, and driven Sales Interns for the upcoming 2025–2026 season. This internship provides hands-on experience in the business side of professional sports, with a focus on ticket sales, group sales, corporate partnerships, and customer relationship management. It's an excellent opportunity for students looking to build a career in sports sales and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Sales and Business Development Executive with ticket sales initiatives, including season tickets, group outings, and premium seating.
  • Generate new sales leads through research, outbound calls, emails, and community outreach.
  • Help maintain and update customer information.
  • Assist with prospecting and client follow-up before, during, and after the sales process.
  • Support corporate partnership sales efforts, including proposal preparation and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Represent the Lumberjacks at community events, networking opportunities, and promotional appearances.
  • Assist with game day sales operations, fan engagement, and client hospitality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while helping create memorable fan experiences.
Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable making phone calls and interacting with prospective clients
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and home games throughout the season
  • Passion for sports and a willingness to learn the sales process
