Position Summary

The Madison Capitols Hockey Team, proud members of the USHL, are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Box Office Coordinator to join our team. The Box Office Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient ticketing experience for fans by overseeing game night box office operations, managing ticketing systems, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, game-day environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the game night operations of the box office, including ticket sales and ticket resolution.
  • Operate and troubleshoot the team’s ticketing software.
  • Process single-game, group, and season ticket transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering ticketing inquiries in person.
  • Assist with game-day operations.
  • Support ticket sales staff with fulfillment of group ticket orders, promotions, and special events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute ticketing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
  • Assist with credential distribution and manage pass lists for players, staff, scouts, and VIP guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall game-day and event operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous box office, ticketing, or customer service experience preferred (sports/entertainment industry a plus).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (Igniter Tickets) preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with cash and financial reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
