The Utica Comets, Utica City FC, and Adirondack Bank Center are welcoming applications to fill a Summer Ticketing Internship position for Summer 2026.
Internship Term: Summer 2026 (May/June – August)

Format: Hybrid/On-Site
Expected Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, flexible based upon internship needs
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the professional sports industry and develop transferable skills that are beneficial to anyone seeking a profession in sales. Supervised by the Vice President of Ticket Sales, this intern will learn the day-to-day responsibilities of the ticketing department while assisting the activation of offseason events held at the Adirondack Bank Center and the preparation of ticketing initiatives for the 2026-27 Comets and UCFC seasons.
In addition, this role will have opportunities to support select community events in the Greater Utica Area supported by the Comets, Utica City FC or the Save of the Day Foundation.
This is an unpaid internship. Participants may qualify for academic credit if allowed by their college or university.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform outbound sales calls to generate leads for individual, season, and group ticket opportunities. Correspond with Comets and UCFC season ticket members to answer questions and inform of account updates.
- Work with account executives in the preparation of season ticket and single-game ticket sales. Sell & print tickets via Paciolan and respond to customer questions and concerns while providing outstanding customer service.
- Assist with upkeep of the Adirondack Bank Center box office.
- Contribute to the planning of group nights for the upcoming season. Develop and present ideas to enhance ticketing initiatives and theme nights.
- Represent the Utica Comets and Utica City FC brands at offseason and community events.
- Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

From this Internship, participants will be able to take away the following skills and lessons and apply it in future roles:
- Understand the sales cycle, how to interact with customers, and utilize relevant software (e.g. Paciolan, Salesforce) to sell tickets for events.
- Act as a front-facing member of a professional sports organization, engaging positively and professionally to a wide-range of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of individuals in a professional sports environment to navigate ever-changing conditions and successfully accomplish tasks.
- Build connections and professional relationships with other members of the sports industry.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- Can maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time; can lift up to 30 lb.
- Intern will be responsible for their own housing, food, and transportation to and from the Adirondack Bank Center. Reimbursement for travel, gas, lodging, etc. is not offered with this internship.
