The Utica Comets and Utica City FC are welcoming applications for our 2026 Summer Internship.
Internship Term: Summer 2026 (May/June – August)
Location: Utica, NY
Format: Hybrid/On-Site
Expected Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, flexible based upon internship needs
This internship will support the preparation and execution of Comets and UCFC offseason events at the Adirondack Bank Center, along with select community events in the Greater Utica Area. Working with members of the Comets and UCFC staff, interns will gain an understanding of day-to-day responsibilities in areas such as ticketing, game presentation, and community relations.
This is an unpaid internship. Participants may qualify for academic credit if allowed by their college or university.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with lead generation for ticketing and sponsorship by performing outbound sales calls and researching local organizations/businesses.
- Represent the Utica Comets and Utica City FC brands at offseason and community events.
- Aid inventory management, reorganization, and restocking of the Comets/UCFC Team Store.
- Identify, catalog, and archive multimedia assets for future digital media use.
- Contribute to the planning of game presentation initiatives for the upcoming season. Develop and present ideas to enhance in-arena presentation and theme nights.
- Additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- Can maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time; can lift up to 30 lb.
- Intern will be responsible for their own housing, food, and transportation to and from the Adirondack Bank Center. Reimbursement for travel, gas, lodging, etc. is not offered with this internship.
