JOB SUMMARY: The individuals in this role will be assisting the Marketing Department in game operations activities at Texas Stars home games. He or she reports to the Marketing & Social Media Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists in planning and preparing game operation activities
  • Supports Texas Stars Marketing staff in all pre-game or post-game events as assigned
  • Distributes premium giveaway items and corporate partner activation collateral, egress coupons, and other promotional items
  • Assists Game Ops Lead in-game production and promotional activities, including selecting guests for timeout and/or intermission activities and instructing contestants on timeout and/or intermission activities
  • Interacts with Texas Stars Hockey Operations staff, H-E-B Center at Cedar Park staff, Texas Stars corporate partners and guests of H-E-B Center
  • Be present and sell 50/50 Raffle tickets either at kiosks or in the arena
  • Accompany mascot while performing game duties while staying attentive to the game progression and the mascot’s immediate surroundings.
  • Strong focus on positive fan engagement while being friendly and helpful to fans with taking pictures, autographs, and answering their questions regarding the mascot.
  • Awareness of in-game scheduling, location visits, fan requests, and potential hazards for the mascot performer.
  • Support mascot with a variety of duties that may arise during the season including skits, videos, social media, and sponsorship activation.
  • Provides administrative and personal support to the Marketing department and Game Operations Lead on game nights
  • Tear down concourse following select home games

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ideal candidate is pursuing a college degree in Sport Management, Marketing or closely related field
  • Successful candidates have some experience in marketing and/or customer service, are innovative, self-starters, independent, demanding nothing less than the best, energetic, and organized while possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public
  • A team orientated individual that is outgoing and is able to take initiative creating positive fan engagement

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an arena environment, where noise levels can be quite loud.
