JOB SUMMARY: The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Forklift Operator will mainly operate during building conversions. Operators must be skilled forklift drivers that are comfortable working in a fast-paced, tight space environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with stacking and down stacking various items
- Retrieve materials and items for the conversion team
- Assist on foot during various conversions as needed
- Transport conversion materials to and from the arena floor
- Ensure that materials are properly stored in the storage area or outside
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Forklift certified
- Ability to recognize conversion needs and what materials are needed to keep the process running smoothly
- Candidates will possess an outgoing personality, good energy, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, professionalism, poise, strong communication abilities, strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to change propane fuel tanks as necessary
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Having prior work experience in an arena or event center
- The ability to demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned and varying shifts and completing responsibilities in a timely manner are required
- Ability to work an ever-changing schedule
- Weekend and nighttime availability
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an rink/arena environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
