Job Functions:
- Professionally represent the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at all games, appearances, and community events both in and out of costume.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager of Game Presentation to develop skits, on-ice elements, in-game activations, photo and autograph opportunities, and other game-day elements.
- Manage appearance requests and school program.
- Manage all meLVin social media and content creation.
- Help create, plan, and execute skits pertaining to theme night, current pop culture, etc.
- Assist in preparation for the game.
- Communicate with Energy Team, Game Day Coordinator, and Game Presentation Director.
- Follow script to adhere to schedule.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the game day room, including props and other accessories.
- Embody the meLVin character brand and represent the Lehigh Valley Phantoms organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
18 years or older.
2-4 years of prior mascot experience.
Reliable transportation to the PPL Center or outside appearances.
Excellent communication skills.
General hockey knowledge and skating experience is a plus.
Comfortable to adjust on the fly.
Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Outgoing personality to connect mascot with the community.
Available for all Phantoms home games (nights, weekends, holidays).
Lift up to 30 lbs. and on feet for upwards of 5 hours.
