Position Summary
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Part-Time Jersey Customization Specialist to support retail operations by producing high-quality customized jerseys for fans and special events. This role is responsible for applying names, numbers, patches, and specialty embellishments to team jerseys while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and premium presentation standards. This individual will play an important role in delivering a memorable fan experience through personalized merchandise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Customize fan jerseys using heat press equipment and approved customization methods
- Apply player names, numbers, captain patches, sponsor patches, and commemorative event patches
- Inspect garments before and after customization to ensure quality standards
- Verify order details for spelling, number placement, and product accuracy
- Maintain inventory of customization materials and supplies
- Assist retail staff with merchandise preparation and floor support as needed
- Keep customization workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Communicate with leadership regarding production timelines and special requests
- Provide exceptional service for in-store and online jersey customization orders
Qualifications
- Previous retail, apparel decoration, or customization experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable operating heat press or customization equipment (training provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and game days
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sports merchandise or team retail operations
- Knowledge of jersey construction and garment handling
- Passion for hockey and fan engagement
- Ability to manage multiple orders while maintaining quality standards
