About the Role
The Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) and Grand Rapids Rise (Pro Volleyball Federation) are seeking a Membership Experience Specialist to join our dynamic team. This individual will focus on delivering exceptional service to our season ticket members, helping to build lasting relationships and ensure memorable experiences year-round.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an award-winning organization and play a key role in fan engagement and retention within two growing professional sports franchises in West Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for season ticket members via phone, email, text, live chat, and in-person communication
- Assist in planning and executing exclusive member events and experiences
- Educate members on benefits and ensure they receive maximum value from their membership
- Develop and manage touchpoint strategies to ensure consistent, personalized service
- Resolve member issues and requests with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to improve the overall fan experience
- Contribute to retention and referral goals through service-focused interactions
- Assist with game-day and non-game-day responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ticketing/CRM systems a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or related field
- 1–2 years in customer service, sales, hospitality, or a similar client-facing role
