Description
The Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and Grand Rapids Rise (Pro Volleyball Federation) are seeking motivated and dependable college students to join our Game Night Internship Program for the 2025–26 season!
 
Interns will support 36 Griffins home games and 14 Rise home matches, rotating through various roles including ticket operations, customer service, and promotional support. This paid opportunity offers hands-on experience in the sports industry while allowing interns to build connections across multiple departments!
 
Primary Responsibilities
·         Assist in the box office with ticket sales, will call, and ticket resolution using Paciolan
·         Support pregame setup and teardown of box office and concourse elements
·         Staff VIP and Season Ticket Member areas, verifying eligibility and providing professional service
·         Distribute giveaways and assist with in-game promotions and theme nights
·         Help manage raffles, jersey auctions, and special event logistics
·         Contribute to at least 2–3 non-game events, such as youth hockey jamborees or STM parties
·         Stay engaged throughout each shift and assist wherever needed to ensure a smooth fan experience
 
Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Availability to work scheduled Griffins and Rise home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Previous experience in customer service, ticketing, or event operations preferred
  • Passion for sports and eagerness to learn about the business side of the industry
