DESCRIPTION:
The Stockton Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, is seeking candidates for the position of Group Sales Executive.
 
DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the sale and service of group ticket sales plans, including premium seating, to maximize revenue and ensure a high level of hospitality 
  • Retain, service, cross-sell and upgrade existing group accounts
  • Generate a pre-determined level of new business that is obtained by reaching out to provided lists to local business, consumer, and community groups
  • Implements plans to create new group sales opportunities and expand current categories such as youth sports, churches, military, and first responders
  • Performs "event day" responsibilities including entertaining clients and fulfilling large/theme night group commitments on weeknights and weekends
  • Make a minimum of 40 calls per day
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved and all customer contacts recorded in department CR
  • Reports to the Director of Ticket Sales
  • Handle inbound calls from sales prospects for all ticket products
  • Conduct in-arena appointments and tours of the Arena to assist in closing new business and developing new relationships

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and assess customer needs
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced sales training
  • Minimum of one year professional sports industry experience
  • Considerable knowledge of ticket sales processes and procedures
