Part-time Guest Service Attendant

Tampa Bay Lightning/Amalie Arena

JOB SUMMARY:
The Guest Services position is responsible for providing World Class Customer Service to the guests at the Amalie Arena by ensuring guests feel welcome and they leave with a long lasting, positive impression. This position acts as a resource and host to guests visiting the Arena by maintaining a working knowledge of our facility and special events. The Guest Services staff plays a vital role when it comes to creating a clean, safe and enjoyable experience for our fans. They serve as the main point of contact for all guest requests/needs and then pursue the issue to a resolution. The members of the Guest Services staff must exhibit courteous hospitality at all times and be proactive in every area. A very high level of customer service aptitude is essential for this position. Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 70% of all events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and seat guests in the arena in a friendly, professional manner to assure a positive impression
• Search guests’ bags at entry gates in a prompt, but friendly manner
• Scan tickets at entry points with a smile and friendly greeting
• Assist guests with elevator/escalator services, including ADA elevators
• Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
• Enforce all building policies and procedures during an event to assure safety and security for all
• Work cooperatively with all staff members
• Respond to and investigate incidents/inquire with witnesses on scene
• Provide public assistance with lost and found
• Monitor the crowd during all events
• Assist all other departments as needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•  Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks and Drug Screening
•   Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
• This position may require working outside with exposure to extreme heat or weather conditions
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time including walking long distances and stairs
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and double shifts
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
