ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
  • Prepare for, hook up, maintain, and disconnect show power as required
  • Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
  • Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist, as required, other skilled trades in a variety of maintenance repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman's License preferred
  • Five (5) years electrician experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of National Electric Code
  • Strong mechanical understanding of equipment
  • Ability to decipher problems and remedy same
  • Ability to read and decipher blueprints, schematics and working equipment documents.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Creative and proactive problem solver
  • Ability to generate trust and support.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Team player with complete knowledge of safety in the workplace
  • Ability to work with job-related tools
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Excellent attendance, time management, and attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of state and local codes

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.  
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction
  • Must be able to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
