Job Summary
The role of Digital Media Coordinator will handle the day-to-day backend operation of all Vinik Sports Group websites, including TampaBayLightning.com, TampaBaySports.com, LightningHockeyDevelopment.com, and VinikSportsGroup.com. This role will also be part of the group that leads the overarching App strategy for Vinik Sports Group and all related properties, inclusive of live game broadcast distribution on our DTC streaming platform. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing, this position will have the technical skills to run the backend of content and ecommerce websites. This position will also be directly involved with distribution of all web and app related content, ensuring pieces are posted timely and promoted in the appropriate ways.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of content management systems and a detailed understanding of search engine optimization. It is important that this position is an analytically focused representative of the digital team and uses data to drive strategy and decision making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of TampaBayLightning.com, TampaBaySports.com, BenchmarkIntlArena.com, VinikSportsGroup.com, and all other VSG owned and operated websites using backend content management tools to ensure sites are up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines
- Responsible for performing site maintenance and design, setting company standards for best practices, performing quality-control over all online content and managing all web-based applications
- In conjunction with our partners at YinzCam, manage day-to-day operation of the Tampa Bay Lightning mobile app
- Work with our partners at Scripps Sports and ViewLift to ensure all live game broadcasts are carried out via our mobile app, CTV apps and web browser
- Work with sponsorship team to ensure all partner assets on web and app are executed, performance is monitored, and provide feedback and recommendations
- Coordinate announcement of breaking Lightning news with Public Relations and Social Media teams
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create landing pages and other website/app assets to support campaigns
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to improve website and app performance
- Manage media library and digital assets including images, videos, articles, etc. and handle distribution across web and app channels
- Manage day-to-day operations of YouTube
- Cut all in-game goal highlights and upload videos to the appropriate channels
- In collaboration with the Legal team, ensure all Vinik Sports Group web and app platforms are compliant with all accessibility and data sharing standards
- Respond to all web-based security breaches and work with Technology and Innovation team to assess damage and increase protection
- Communicate recommendations for technical needs of site to management
- Ensure all Lightning marketing campaigns are carried out and consistent on all web and app platforms
- Monitor web and app traffic, including performance of all individual content pieces, and use that data to influence strategy
- Use technical skills to help sites accomplish overall goals and solve back-end coding modifications to support marketing programs and campaigns
- Provide general office task assistance, including but not limited to, the creation of necessary calendars, recaps, reports, spreadsheets, creative requests, PTU’s, and purchase orders
- Other digital marketing tasks and assignments as appropriate
- Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions while providing leadership and guidance
- Represent Vinik Sports Group professionally at all times

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the operation of a website and mobile app with a robust CMS
- Knowledge of development and maintenance of complex websites, cross-browser and platform compatibility
- Comfortable working with performance dashboards and can derive action plans for your team leveraging data insights
- Ability to handle a variety of multiple changing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience with interactive design and development software and markup including HTML and Photoshop
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM principles as well as AP Style
- Proficiency in HTML required, proficiency in Javascript and CSS desirable, but not required
- Experience in editorial writing and team coverage, photography, and video production is desirable, but not required
- Experience in managing small teams
- Self-motivated, with ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
