J​ob Summary         

The position values guest and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. The Carpenter position is a behind-the-scenes role that is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of all wood and other construction-related products at each of our facilities. The position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, reaching and the ability to life 50 pounds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair millwork in office areas, suites, and food service areas throughout the facility.
  • Design cost estimate and build various structures from rough construction through to finish.
  • Maintain and repair various floor surfaces including carpeting, wood, ceramic, and vinyl tiles.
  • Maintain and repair various show related equipment including flooring, staging, risers, tables, and chairs.
  • Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors.
  • Repair, replace and install concrete pavers.
  • Install cabinets and molding, build and/or repair furniture.
  • Work with materials such as wood, glass, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
  • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
  • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
  • Represent Vinik Sports Group professionally at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years old with high school diploma or GED required
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment background check screening
  • 1-3 years of professional carpentry experience required
  • Ability to decipher problems and remedy same
  • Team worker with emphasis on safety in the workplace
  • Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.

Working Conditions
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
  • This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
  • Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction
  • Ability to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
  • Ability to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
