JOB SUMMARY

This position provides Facility Security for all events at Benchmark International Arena and is responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service

· Provide guests with accurate arena and event information

· Enforce building policies and procedures

· Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena

· Respond to all emergencies during the event

· Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports

· Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel

· Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

· Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all

· Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas

· Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours

QUALIFICATIONS

· Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks

· Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command

· Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background

· Excellent customer service skills

· Knowledge and skill in radio communication

· Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus

· Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given

· Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress

· Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.

· Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language

· Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people

· Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.

· Ability to work in loud environments

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

· Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times

· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

· Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
