Drawing on the expertise showcased during the transformation of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Amalie Arena under Jeff Vinik, VSG serves clients through its three core divisions - VSF Commercial Sales, VSG Live and VSG Facilities. VSG features a leadership team with decades of experience in the sports and entertainment industries; leaders who focus on each client’s unique needs before developing strategies and delivering successful solutions in the multimedia sales, event management, facility operations, and guest services verticals. This position provides Facility Security for all events at AMALIE Arena and is responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
- Provide guests with accurate arena and event information
- Enforce building policies and procedures
- Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena
- Respond to all emergencies during the event
- Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports
- Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel
- Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all
- Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
QUALIFICATIONS
- Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks
- Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command
- Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge and skill in radio communication
- Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
- Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given
- Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress
- Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- This position may require working outside with exposure to extreme heat or weather conditions
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time including walking long distances and stairs
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds
- Willingness and ability to work a flex schedule of various hours and multiple shifts, to include overnights, weekdays, weeknights, weekends and holidays
