We are looking for a Merchandise Assistant for our upcoming 2026-2027 season! This is a part-time, paid position that must be located in Roanoke or surrounding areas. The expected duration of this position is August TBD, 2026 through May TBD, 2027. The ideal candidate will be an independent worker, detail-oriented, a natural problem solver, trustworthy and reliable.

- Available to work ALL home game days from 12:00 P.M. through the end of the game (30 regular season games, plus postseason)
- Flexible schedule from September to May; weekly schedule of office hours will range from 12-48 hours in addition to game days
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 25 lbs, stand on your feet for 8+ hours at a time, ascend/descend stairs while carrying boxes or other items
- Communicate in a professional and customer-oriented manner with fans in-person, on the phone and via email
- Frequently use computer software including, but not limited to, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Square Point of Sale System, JotForm and Copper CRM System
Position Description:
- Manage purchase orders and incoming inventory from third-party vendors
- Tag, inventory, fold, and organize new and existing retail items
- Prepare incoming merchandise orders for customers accurately and in a timely manner
- Find, address and solve merchandise related issues
- Oversee custom specialty jersey replica program
- Manage and train staff/interns assisting with merchandise on game days
- Assist our full-time staff with administrative duties
