The Peoria Rivermen are seeking a creative, innovative, and highly motivated Director of Creative Services to lead the organization's visual storytelling and digital content strategy. This individual will oversee all creative content for the organization, including graphic design, video production, photography, and social media.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced professional sports environment, enjoys creating engaging content, and has a passion for growing a brand through compelling storytelling.
Primary Responsibilities
📱 Social Media Management
- Manage all official Peoria Rivermen social media platforms.
- Develop and execute a year-round content strategy.
- Create engaging posts that increase fan interaction and brand awareness.
- Provide live game coverage through graphics, photos, videos, and real-time updates.
- Monitor trends and implement new social media strategies.
- Track analytics and provide monthly performance reports.
- Coordinate sponsored social media campaigns and fulfill partner obligations.
🎥 Video Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit promotional videos.
- Produce hype videos, commercials, player features, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Create game highlights and recap videos.
- Produce sponsor fulfillment videos.
- Assist with in-game video elements and scoreboard content.
- Capture community appearances, special events, and team functions.
📸 Photography
- Serve as the team's primary photographer.
- Photograph games, practices, promotional events, community appearances, and sponsor activations.
- Edit and organize photo libraries.
- Deliver high-quality imagery for media, sponsors, ticket sales, and marketing campaigns.
🎨 Graphic Design
Design creative assets for:
- Ticket sales campaigns
- Theme nights
- Promotional giveaways
- Sponsorship fulfillment
- Merchandise
- Website
- Email marketing
- Digital advertising
- Print materials
- Community initiatives
- Game day graphics
Maintain and strengthen the Rivermen brand identity across all platforms.
🏒 Game Day Responsibilities
- Capture photography and video throughout each home game.
- Produce real-time social media content.
- Coordinate postgame highlight packages.
- Assist with in-game entertainment graphics.
- Work closely with the communications, ticket sales, and corporate partnership departments to create engaging fan experiences.
🤝 Collaboration
- Work with Corporate Partnerships to fulfill sponsor deliverables.
- Support Ticket Sales and Marketing with promotional campaigns.
- Assist Merchandise with product launches and promotional graphics.
- Collaborate with Hockey Operations on player features and announcements.
- Help develop new creative concepts that elevate the Rivermen brand.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will possess:
- Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, photography, and video production.
- Experience using:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Lightroom
- Adobe InDesign
- Canva
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the hockey season.
