Job Description:
The Ice Flyers are on the hunt for a highly-motivated, passionate, and professional Digital Content Creator. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude, ready to represent the organization with enthusiasm and creativity. Applicants must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 
Position Summary:
  • Assist with the creation of engaging graphic designs and video for various marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to video board production, ensuring high-quality and compelling visuals
  • Manage social media platforms, creating and posting content to engage with fans and promote the organization
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement content strategies
  • Ensure all content aligns with the organization's brand, style guidelines, and marketing goals

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and post captivating graphics on social media, mobile app, and promotional emails on a daily basis.
  • Fabricate in-house marketing materials for various purposes like season tickets, group tickets, and promotional theme nights, alongside crafting email blasts and press releases.
  • Generate content for game production to be displayed on video scoreboard and video walls.
  • Collaborate with local media outlets to execute ad campaigns.
  • Create and distribute engaging video content featuring players, coaches, staff, and fans across multiple online platforms.
  • Maintain a well-structured marketing campaign for each game and event.
  • Oversee the team’s social media platforms, mobile app, and website.
  • Assist in crafting game production scripts.
  • Fulfill marketing requirements in corporate sponsorship contracts, including on-site photos and videos.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with current marketing clients and establish connections with new ones.
  • Innovate creative strategies to market the team.
  • Coordinate with coaching staff and players for marketing days.
  • Ensure professional utilization of team branding in all in-house and external marketing materials.
  • Strive to meet and surpass marketing goals set by team leadership.
  • Represent the Ice Flyers at all home games and selected community events to fulfill marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Assist in managing marketing interns, game day photographers, and videographers.
  • Execute other duties and responsibilities as delegated by team leadership.

Key Skills:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere Pro)

Experience:
  • Working knowledge of WordPress or similar website hosts like Squarespace
  • Background in executing Email and Digital Ad Campaigns
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
  • Proficient with DSLR Cameras for high-quality photography
  • Experience in studio photography
  • Experience in videography
  • Previous work with print media and liaison with printers

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior work experience in the fields of graphic design and marketing
