Pee Dee IceCats

Manager of Community Relations, Team Services and Mascot

Pee Dee IceCats - Entry Level
Florence, SC
Mascot · Community Relations · Team Administration/Operations
The Pee Dee IceCats are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to serve in a unique role with the team. We are looking to hire a Manager of Community Relations, Team Services and Mascot Performer for the 2026-27 season.

This role requires someone with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to track several different deliverables at one time. It cannot be understated that this role is critical to both the hockey operations and front office success of the IceCats, and these qualities are non-negotiable.

The Community Relations portion of this role includes booking and tracking all team and mascot appearances within the Pee Dee community, managing/fulfilling charitable donation requests, reaching out to community and civic organizations to ensure IceCats involvement whenever possible and identifying new partnership opportunities for the organization in the region.

Team Services duties include working closely with our head coach and hockey operations department to book and manage all hotel stays, travel, per diem requests, player housing and other needs within the department. This position may require some travel on occasion, but that will be determined based in part on the candidate hired.

As Scratch the IceCat, we look for someone who can dynamically embody the true energy and mischief of a mascot every time they put on the suit. Think Gritty, but more family-friendly as our ticket base skews in that direction. Most of all, we want to make sure that anyone who comes into contact with Scratch has a fun and memorable experience that reflects positively on the organization. This position also controls all additional mascot bookings, with the potential to make additional income off of those appearances.

This position also includes a sales component that earns commission on all tickets and corporate advertising sold.

Please apply with a cover letter indicating why your talent, abilities and skills uniquely suit you to what will be both a demanding but rewarding and fun job in professional hockey.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
