Position Overview:
This position will assist with the gameday social media coverage of all Macon Mayhem home games. This position will report to the team Social Media & Creative Services Coordinator. Must be local to the Macon area and have reliable transportation to the Macon Coliseum. Must have experience with Adobe Photoshop. Must have strong experience and passion for social media and be available for all Macon Mayhem home games. Course credit is available for this internship if desired.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with gameday social media coverage for all Macon Mayhem home games from October to April.
- Update team gameday social media graphics.
- Post creative and engaging social media content, including highlights during all Macon Mayhem home games.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positively represent the Macon Mayhem.
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Team.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Must be available for all Macon Mayhem home games and have reliable transportation to and from the Macon Coliseum on gamedays.
- Knowledge of trends and social media interfaces as it relates to professional sports is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the game of hockey is strongly preferred.
- A quick thinker who is able to follow directions as well as solve problems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Team player with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management and clientele.
- Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
