The Macon Mayhem, a proud member of the SPHL, is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary leader to serve as our Executive Vice President. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving the overall strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial success of the organization, ensuring continued growth and an exceptional fan experience.
Position Overview:
The Executive Vice President will be responsible for overseeing various critical departments, including business operations, sales, marketing, promotions, and community relations. This leader will work closely with the ownership and senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's long-term goals. The EVP will foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, optimize revenue streams, enhance brand visibility, and ensure the Mayhem remains a premier sports and entertainment entity in the community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve and exceed organizational goals in revenue, fan engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Provide direct leadership and oversight to key departments, including ticket sales, corporate partnerships, marketing, finance, and game operations.
- Drive significant revenue growth through innovative sales initiatives, partnership development, and strategic marketing campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, community leaders, and media partners.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand awareness and fan loyalty.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and fan data to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure operational excellence across all areas, including game day experience, customer service, and administrative functions.
- Represent the Macon Mayhem at league meetings, community events, and industry conferences.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in the sports, entertainment, or related industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, revenue generation, and operational management.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the sports calendar.
- A passion for hockey and a deep understanding of the fan experience and the sports business landscape.
