Step behind the lens and into the action with the Huntsville Havoc. We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented college student with a passion for video production and live sports to join our team for the 2025-26 season. This internship offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment where you’ll play a key role in capturing the energy of professional hockey.
Responsibilities:
- Film home hockey games using professional-grade and mirrorless cameras.
- Assist with editing highlight packages, behind-the-scenes content, and other game-related videos.
- Maintain and organize media files and production gear before and after each game, including logging and tagging footage for future use in promotional content or archives.
- Support the Video Production Coordinator during video shoots throughout the season.
- Participate in creative planning sessions for video campaigns and special projects.
- Collaborate with the social media and marketing team to deliver timely clips and short-form content for digital use.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled college student or recent graduate.
- Ability to arrange own transportation to and from the Huntsville area.
- Prior experience operating cameras and capturing live sports or events.
- Basic knowledge of operating mirrorless cameras and accessories such as gimbals and tripods.
- Access to a personal camera (mirrorless); team equipment can be provided if necessary.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and other Creative Cloud tools.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the game schedule.
- Passion for sports and visual storytelling.
- Comfortable working in a team environment with fast turnarounds and high expectations.
