Position Overview:

The In-Game Host serves as the on-ice and in-arena personality for the Fayetteville Marksmen during home games. This high-energy individual is responsible for engaging fans, leading promotions, conducting contests, and helping create an unforgettable game-day atmosphere. The In-Game Host is the face of fan entertainment and plays a key role in delivering a fun, family-friendly, and interactive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-camera and in-arena personality for all home games and select events.
  • Perform live reads, promotions, and announcements during stoppages in play.
  • Engage with fans throughout the arena to build excitement and energy.
  • Host on-ice and in-stands contests, promotions, and sponsor activations.
  • Work with the game operations team to ensure seamless execution of the game script.
  • Represent the team in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Adjust on the fly to changing game circumstances while maintaining high energy.
  • Interact with mascots, players, and staff to enhance the entertainment experience.
  • Assist with pregame and postgame activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds with a clear, enthusiastic, and engaging delivery.
  • Strong improvisation skills and ability to think quickly under pressure.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to energize fans of all ages.
  • Previous hosting, acting, radio, broadcasting, or live entertainment experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hockey and/or sports culture a plus.
  • Must be able to work all home games (nights, weekends, holidays as scheduled).
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform in front of large audiences.

Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time, game-day position.
  • Compensation: Paid per game / event.
  • A strong audition presence will be required as part of the hiring process.
