Are you a highly motivated sales leader with a passion for sports and a knack for creating unforgettable experiences? The Fayetteville Marksmen are seeking a dynamic Director, Group Tickets to drive our group sales initiatives and bring the excitement of Marksmen hockey to new audiences.
Position Overview:
The Director, Group Tickets will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive strategies to maximize group ticket sales and revenue for the Fayetteville Marksmen. This role involves leading all aspects of the group sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and fostering strong relationships within the community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed group ticket sales goals.
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate new group sales opportunities with businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, and community groups.
- Manage the entire sales process, including lead generation, outreach, presentations, contract negotiation, and fulfillment.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with group clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with the marketing and game operations teams to create compelling group ticket packages and unique fan experiences.
- Track sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management.
- Represent the Fayetteville Marksmen at community events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities.
- Potentially recruit, train, and mentor junior sales staff or interns.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in group sales, B2B sales, or event sales.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to achieving targets.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during the hockey season.
