Hiring Range: The pay range for this role is $70,304 per year
Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Position Overview
The Video Producer, gathers, produces, and edits content for SJ Sharks Productions. This role is pivotal in story telling to the fans of what is going on both on and off the ice. Asks include, but are not limited to, video production and editing, written, and other artistic content. The producer must have strong skills in shooting and editing hockey and non-hockey content. We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic and creative team player that will seamlessly work with our Content group, and Game Presentation group to create high-caliber content. Must have a passion for helping the SJ Sharks continue to be best-in-class video production team within sports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all post-production tasks weekly including: capturing & reviewing b-roll, lighting design, sound design, color correction, incorporation of graphics, and editing.
- Production of video features and content at all levels of the production process, from pre- production, production, and post-production for all SSE digital platforms.
- Capture cinematic caliber video content for both hockey and non-hockey content such as Foundation events, Player Storylines, and sponsorship/sales videos.
- Set and lighting design to capture high-level interviews for storytelling features.
- Assist Technical Services in keeping video assets organized using an asset management data base.
- Create and post content for all digital platforms.
- Ability to Create animated motion graphics using After Effects and Photoshop.
- Must be capable of independently executing full video shoots as a one person production crew
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited university
- 2+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience producing and editing video ideally with Adobe Premiere; on-camera experience a plus.
- Experience and familiar with video standards.
- Background in sports and/or entertainment content; exhibit professional etiquette when working with athletes and talent.
- Must have exceptional written, communication and organization skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across the company.

- Ability to adjust and prioritize within changing business environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficient in video production techniques utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish on short timelines.
- Proficiency with cinematic caliber cameras, such as Sony FS7, SonyA9, Sony Fx3 cameras, and more.
- Understanding of video asset organization techniques.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
- Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
- Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
- Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
- Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
- May be required to travel to other company locations
- May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
