Pay Range:                     The range for this role is $75,000 - $80,750 per year plus variable

Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Position Overview
Team Teal is seeking to hire a Manager, Ticket Operations that embraces all aspects of our principles.  Key responsibilities include growing ticket sales revenue by way of supporting strategic sales efforts for the Sharks, Barracuda, SAP Center, Tech CU Arena Events.  The primary responsibility of this individual is to assist the Director of Ticket Operations with the management and supervision of all box office functions including staffing, cash control, event management and third party/vendor relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director with managing arena ticket office operations for approximately 150 sports and special events per year.
  • Build and maintain events on the Ticketmaster Host and Archtics systems as assigned.
  • Manage, train and develop all Ticket Operations Coordinators.
  • Review and perform balancing, depositing and reporting of ticket office receipts, as required.
  • Build relationships with all areas of Ticket Sales and Service department to better support sales initiatives and foster collaboration.
  • Oversee and implement any new integrations needed for new sales products.
  • Direct creation and update of venue seating charts and distribute as needed.
  • Implement all access control guidelines for each event.
  • Assist with all product launches for all San Jose Sharks and Barracuda ticket packages.
  • Assist in the creation and management of the annual department budget.
  • Establish and review operational policies and procedures for ticket office operations.
  • Act as chief liaison for vendors, customer service inquiries and escalated customer issues.
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to all guests visiting the ticket office.
  • Determine and communicate Ticket Office Coordinators’ schedules. 
  • Represent the department at weekly company management meetings and other meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or directed.
  • Assist SSE staff as deemed necessary or as directed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of computerized box office experience, including at least two (2) years in a management capacity, or progressively responsible related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of all Ticketmaster systems with an emphasis on Ticketmaster Archtics, Account Manager, Host, TM One and TM1 Entry are also required.
  • Significant successful compatible ticket office operations experience and business experience.
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, coachability and exceptional work ethic. 
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.  
  • Strong people skills with the ability to create an inclusive and positive working environment. 
  • Exhibit good judgement and decision-making skills. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights and holidays as required by schedule of events.  
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills, as well as ability to manage your own time and implement your own schedule. 
  • Demonstrate sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
  • Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
  • May be required to travel to other company locations  
  • May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
