Our Purpose:

Climate Pledge Arena is the complete redevelopment of an historic landmark, originally built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.  Sitting at the base of the Space Needle on the Seattle Center campus, the arena is home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA's Seattle Storm, and the world's biggest performers of live music and events. Since opening in October 2021, we have hosted over 400 public events and welcomed over 4 million guests. The arena has been awarded Sports Business Journal’s Sports Facility of the Year and Pollstar’s best new concert venue and is consistently ranked within Pollstar’s top 10 for top grossing arenas worldwide.

Seattle Arena Company, a division of Oak View Group (OVG), privately developed and now operates Climate Pledge Arena. OVG based in Denver, Colorado is a global leader in facility development, management, hospitality, and sales. Overseeing hundreds of venues across the globe including: UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, Moody Center in Austin, TX, Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs, CA, Co-op Live in Manchester, UK, OVG is a positive disruption in the sports, live entertainment and hospitality industry.

Climate Pledge Arena is named after The Climate Pledge, an initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism asking global corporations to become net zero carbon by 2040.  We have one of the most progressive sustainability programs of any arena our size, including being the first and only arena in the world to achieve the International Future Living Institute’s first Zero Carbon Certification.

Position Summary:

We are seeking ticket representatives to work with guests to purchase tickets and solve ticket related issues at Climate Pledge Arena. Ticket representatives will work in the Ticketmaster Box Office and inside the arena providing customer service, sales, and general assistance to guests.

The use of Ticketmaster products that will be used include Archtics, TM Host & TM1 Sales to sell tickets & provide Will Call as needed. This role is supported by and works closely with the entire ticket operations team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary service to guests during box office hours of operation
  • Perform Will Call ticketing process
  • Utilize the internal ticketing program to complete box office sales

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cashier operations and customer service
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation and Point of Sales systems
  • Working knowledge of Windows based PC programs
  • Demonstrated skill in guest relations, phone etiquette, filing, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with others while working in a high-volume, fast paced environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proven ability to work with the public and resolve conflict in customer service situations
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale events in a stadium or concert setting of a similar size (18,000 seats) is highly desirable.
  • Previous Ticketing experience, especially with Ticketmaster products

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
  • Working environment is fast paced at times and role may require you to be on your feet for extended times.
  • When working inside the arena, supervisors will be actively moving throughout the arena to address ticketing resolutions.

Compensation

  • In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected rate for this position is $22.50/hr

  • This role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay
