Climate Pledge Arena, located at Seattle Center, is the complete redevelopment of an historic landmark, originally built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. The arena is home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA's Seattle Storm, PWHL Seattle and the world's biggest performers of live music and events. The arena is named after The Climate Pledge, an initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism asking global corporations to become net zero carbon by 2040. Climate Pledge Arena has one of the most progressive sustainability programs of any building its size, including being the world’s first Zero Carbon Certified arena. Position Summary:

The Marketing Assistant Role is a key support role within Climate Pledge Arena. This role will report into the Sr. Director of Marketing and is responsible for assisting with social media content coverage and capture at events, email content, distribution and design, website maintenance and design. The ideal candidate is a storyteller! Well-versed in social media, pop culture trends and has a desire to learn about email marketing and web design and content.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support email and website content management and distribution in support of the arena’s events and supplementary programs.
  • In collaboration with both premium sales teams (CPA and Seattle Kraken), manage and maintain email sales team contact information and secondary email contact lists.
  • Assist with the content and build out emails requested by the premium sales team, private events, tours and group sales.
  • Assist with the content curation for CPA social channels for events and special projects.
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, execute on marketing projects, including, but not limited to website, emails, and social channels

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing.
  • High proficiency in email marketing platforms, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet or task tracking platforms.
  • Experience capturing video content
  • Knowledge of Adobe products.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Storytelling – written and visual
  • Experience in a website management system (e.g. WordPress)
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, sustainability and the Pacific Northwest community.
  • Experience working in a live events, stadium, or large-venue setting
  • Knowledge of SMS Marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, business analytics, economics, or related field.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Potential hybrid office/home schedule (pending manager approval)
  • Availability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays in support of major events.
  • Extended periods of sitting, screen time, and walking through the venue, including stairs.

 

Compensation:

  • In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected base pay range for this position is $27.00-30.00 per hour.
  • This role is classified as temporary, part-time, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime pay.
  • Approximately 20-25 hours per week
  • Temporary role to last approximately 4-5 months. (Subject to change)
