Climate Pledge Arena, located at Seattle Center, is the complete redevelopment of an historic landmark, originally built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. The arena is home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA's Seattle Storm, PWHL Seattle and the world's biggest performers of live music and events. Position Summary:
The Marketing Assistant Role (full-time) is a key support role within Climate Pledge Arena. This role will report into the Digital Marketing Manager and is responsible for the execution of deploying emails, using our platform Eloqua. This will include, building segments and campaigns, programming sends and providing analytics to different departments on campaign performances. This individual will also need to have familiarity with Word Press, as they will be responsible for monitoring and editing the accuracy of content on the Climate Pledge Arena website and possibly provide some design suggestions. This position will also assist social media content coverage and capture at events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on email, website, and SMS content management and distribution in support of the arena’s events and supplementary programs.
- Provide campaign performance statistics to necessary stakeholders – partnerships, programming and marketing
- In collaboration with both premium sales teams (CPA and Seattle Kraken), manage and maintain email sales team contact information and secondary email contact lists.
- Assist with the content and build out emails requested by the premium sales team, private events, tours, group sales and partnerships.
- Assist with the content curation for CPA social channels for events and special projects which may include event days
- In collaboration with the marketing team, execute and ideate on marketing projects, including, but not limited to website, emails, and social channels
- Assist with video production needs
- Assist in design of graphic needs
- Support Arena Marketing team on creation of advertising materials, media buying, promotions, grassroots, accounting and public relations for events, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing.
- High proficiency in email marketing platforms, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet or task tracking platforms.
- Experience capturing video content
- Knowledge of Adobe products.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work some nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Storytelling – written and visual
- Experience in a website management system (e.g. WordPress)
- Passion for sports, entertainment, sustainability and the Pacific Northwest community.
- Experience working in a live events, stadium, or large-venue setting
- Knowledge of SMS Marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, business analytics, economics, or related field.
Working Conditions:
- Potential hybrid office/home schedule (Pending manager approval)
- Availability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays in support of major events.
- Extended periods of sitting, screen time, and walking through the venue, including stairs.
Compensation:
- In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected base pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual base pay will depend on employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
- This role is classified as permanent, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime pay.
