Program Overview

Climate Pledge Arena is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support our in-house Creative team within a fast-paced, live entertainment environment. This is a production-forward internship designed to provide hands-on experience working on real projects that support concerts, sporting events, arena operations, and brand initiatives.

This role offers meaningful exposure to brand systems, live-event timelines, and cross-functional collaboration—while contributing directly to the Creative team’s day-to-day work. The internship is structured to scale based on skill level, with opportunities for growth, ownership, and refinement over an eight-month period.

This is not a classroom-style internship. Interns will be expected to contribute, adapt quickly, and learn by doing—while receiving mentorship and feedback throughout the program.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities will vary based on experience level, but may include:

  • Design and production support for:
    • Event signage and show builds
    • Digital screens, IPTV, and LED content

    • Print production files

  • Assist with high-visibility brand projects and campaigns
  • Apply brand standards across a wide range of formats and environments
  • Prepare files for print, digital, and environmental installation
  • Work within established templates, workflows, and approval processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Programming, Partnerships, Guest Services and other internal teams
  • Support real-time design needs tied to live events and arena operations

What You’ll Learn

  • Designing within a large-scale brand system
  • How creative work functions in a live entertainment venue
  • Balancing speed, accuracy, and creativity under real deadlines
  • Professional workflows including proofing, approvals, and production handoff
  • How design decisions translate from screen to physical space
  • The realities of designing for event days vs dark days

Interns may have opportunities to refine select projects for portfolio use as appropriate.

Program Structure + Mentorship

  • Duration: 8 months
  • Schedule: Part-time (20–30 hours/week)
  • Mentorship: Weekly 1:1 check-ins with the Senior Designer Manager
  • Integration: Embedded within the Creative team with exposure to cross-department collaboration
  • Learning Approach: Hands-on, project-based and fast-paced

As the internship progresses, interns may take on increased responsibility and ownership depending on performance, initiative, and team needs.
